This page explains the main sections of the Piezopy dashboard at app.piezopy.com so you know where to find what.
Layout
After logging in, you’ll see:
- A menu with links to each section of the app (Dashboard, Accounts, Cost Overview, etc.).
- A main content area that shows whichever section you’re currently viewing.
- A Log out option at the bottom of the menu when you’re ready to end your session.
Sections
Dashboard
The default landing page. It shows a grid of widgets summarizing your AWS accounts at a glance:
- Recent Accounts — the AWS accounts you most recently registered or interacted with.
- Cost Summary — current-month spend across all registered accounts.
- Pipeline Overview — high-level CodePipeline status if any of your accounts run pipelines.
If you’ve just signed up and haven’t registered an AWS account yet, the widgets will be empty. Head to Register your AWS account to populate them.
Accounts
Lists every AWS account you’ve connected to Piezopy. From here you can:
- See cost-per-account at a glance.
- Click an account to open its detail view (per-account daily and monthly cost charts, pipeline status, account-level alert thresholds).
- Click Add Account to register a new AWS account.
The detail view is also where you re-run permission validation if a role’s trust policy ever changes.
Cost Overview
A consolidated view of cost across all your registered AWS accounts — daily and monthly trends, totals, and breakdowns. Useful when you want a single number for total spend rather than per-account drill-downs.
Mobile Devices
If you’ve installed the Piezopy mobile app, the devices you’ve registered for push notifications appear here. From this page you can:
- See which devices are receiving alerts.
- Remove a device you no longer use.
- Confirm push tokens are healthy.
Cost-threshold alerts and pipeline-failure alerts can be delivered to these devices.
Settings
Account-level preferences:
- Email address and password.
- Notification preferences (which kinds of alerts you receive and how).
- Default cost-alert threshold for new AWS accounts.
Upgrade Plan
Where you manage your Piezopy subscription. Lists the available plans and what each includes. New accounts start on the free tier; this is where you upgrade if you outgrow it.
Piezopy Home
Opens the public marketing site (piezopy.com) in a new tab. Useful for sharing or referencing public docs (like this one).
Log out
Ends your session and returns you to the sign-in page.
Where do alerts come from?
Two things drive notifications:
- Cost thresholds set per AWS account (default $100 — you can change this in the account detail view).
- Pipeline failures detected when scanning CodePipeline status across your registered accounts.
Both deliver to the email on your account and to any registered mobile device.
What’s next
- Register your AWS account — connect an AWS account so the widgets and charts populate.
